Torn Innocence Launches to a Packed House

We are incredibly proud to have launched Torn Innocence, the debut novel by Marguerite Hughes, published by Writing on the Wall.

Hosted by WoW Co-Director Mike Morris, the evening was a wonderful celebration of local writing and creative achievement. With over 60 people in attendance — and more than 60 books sold — the launch was a resounding success.

Marguerite captivated the audience with readings from the novel and shared thoughtful insights into her inspiration and writing process. It was a particularly special occasion, with family members travelling from Germany to support her.

The warmth in the room was reflected in the feedback we received:

“This event has inspired me to look out for other similar occasions. I’d never heard of WoW, so a great introduction. Very well presented and well received by all of Rita’s fans, friends and family. Very well done.”
“Lovely to see local writing showcased.”
“You did Rita proud supporting her.”
“Excellent event. Heartfelt and authentic. Well organised.”
“So proud, she is amazing.”
“Very well structured and engaging event. Thank you.”

We are delighted to have supported Marguerite in bringing Torn Innocence into the world and look forward to seeing the novel reach many more readers.

Congratulations, Marguerite — this is just the beginning!
