It’s time for WoWFEST26: NEW WORLD DISORDER

As Liverpool’s longest-running writing and literary festival, WoWFEST has always believed that words can reshape the world. amidst rising inequality, disinformation, authoritarian politics and rapid technological change, WoWFEST26: New World Disorder explores the forces reshaping our societies, and aims to show how creativity, culture and collective action can respond.
This is a festival of resistance, solidarity and imagination. Through bold conversations, performances and events, writers, artists, activists and audiences come together to challenge injustice, share stories and explore new possibilities for social change.
Each year, the festival creates space for thought-provoking, community-led programming rooted in the political and cultural moment we are living through, while remaining driven by hope, creativity and the belief that another world is possible.
Alongside live events, Writing on the Wall’s wider work celebrates creative heritage, uncovers overlooked histories and amplifies voices too often excluded from mainstream narratives. At its heart, WoWFEST is about connection between culture and community, art and action, and past, present and future.
