Writing on the Wall in partnership with Liverpool Mental Health Consortium held a creative writing competition to challenge the stigma around mental distress and to promote social inclusion by giving entrants the opportunity to explore this topic using traditional and/or alternative forms of writing. The competition was a huge success with over 150 entries! Our panel of judges shortlisted two finalists and one winner for each category and an overall winner for the competition. Guests who have announced winners have been Ruby Wax, Billy Ryder-Jones and Professor Green during the celebrations.
Mental health is something we should all be interested in. After all, we know that 1 in 3 GP appointments in Liverpool are related to it.
