At WoW we know writing is the number one skill for the workplace and during the pandemic, creativity have never been more important. Write to Work provides a supportive and friendly space for learners to explore a range of writing skills, helping you build your portfolio, develop professional connections and take positive next steps into employment or further education.
Using creativity to support unemployed learners to develop their writing skills and confidence, Write to Work isn’t like most professional development courses!
Over 12 weeks, WoW will deliver specialist writing workshops via Zoom, each led by published writers and industry professionals, all offering their personal insights and tips for success. Creatives leading this course include Cheryl Martin, Matt Cook, Amina Atiq, Claire Heuchan, Mike Pinnington, Margy Mcshane, Jude Lennon and many more. During the course you’ll be producing work for publication that will be printed in a professional anthology, which will then be available in local bookstores, Waterstones, News from Nowhere and online. We will also be providing one on one mentoring support for participants with industry professionals.
Write to Work will begin on Tuesday 13th July 2021 and will be delivered entirely online.
