We’re delighted to share that Writing on the Wall has been nominated for the People’s Choice Award 2025 in this our 25th Anniversary as an organisation.

This recognition reflects the important work we’ve done together over the year. In 2024, we:

  • Delivered 7 projects with 3,072 participants, producing radio shows, book launches, and competitions.
  • Published 27 new authors, with more to come.
  • Hosted our 25th annual festival, WoWFEST: Fahrenheit 2024, featuring 86 writers and artists across 36 events, attended by 2,500 people in 50 venues across Liverpool. The festival tackled key issues such as the climate crisis, censorship, war, and threats to protest and free expression.
  • Celebrated Black History Month with 13 events and walking tours, highlighting the rich heritage of Black communities.

As we approach our 25th Anniversary in 2025, we remain committed to supporting communities and amplifying diverse voices in working-class writing.
