Imagine a Britain trapped by the throat in the jaws of a Neo Fascist wolf disguised in the ragged sheepskin pelt rug of a failed democratic state. The Corporations and multi-billionaires own the fake politicians and the plebic population lives in constant fear.
Your only hope is to pay for a place on a Russian trawler that ferried escaping Black British to the west coast of Africa. Clean drinking water is rationed and the rumours of internment camps in Wales are not rumours at all. The round ups have just begun. They are harvesting eggs and sperm while people are dying of an unknown plague. The food you eat has been genetically modified to induce submissive behaviour.
In the shadows there are those planning for a more controlled obedient society.

Leroy Cooper understands the power of art to transform. Through street art, poetry, photography, painting and music Leroy’s personal experience has become his legacy. Following his arrest in Liverpool 8 in 1981, his name has been inextricably linked with the Toxteth riots, an ironic infamy considering his lack of involvement. He wasn’t there. He made a conscious decision to channel this negative experience into something positive.
