From Page to Stage – online workshop with Helen Jeffery

Thursday, May 23, 2024

Ever wondered how to take an idea for a play through to a staged production? Then this is the workshop for you!

In this 2-hour online session, writer, Helen Jeffery, will explore starting to write for stage, scratching new work, work-in-progress showings and how to take your play into the next stage of production.  There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion and to ask Helen questions about her journey as a writer, the redrafting process and the nuts and bolts of getting your work on stage.

Helen Jeffery has been writing and performing spoken word since 2018 and in January 2022 published her debut poetry pamphlet, ‘Journey’. In addition to poetry, Helen has written several plays including, ‘The Brink’ and ‘Gun Metal Blue.’ In March 2024, her newest play, ‘Buckled’ opened at the Shakespeare North Playhouse Studio, before touring to other venues in the North-West.
